Krupuk

Krupuk, kerupuk or kroepoek: delicious fried crackers made from tapioca starch. These bite-size snacks are the oriental counterpart of crisps. Krupuk is loved all over Asia, especially in Indonesia. The Dutch are also crazy about kroepoek. As a side-dish for satay, noodles, rice dishes or curries. Another great food pairing is kroepoek, beer, plus a nice movie with friends.

For our tasty Wilthagen Kroepoek we added local produce as flavouring. Extremely local, in fact: all products are harvested within a few miles of our manufacturing facility. Fresh organic seaweed. Dutch yellow onions. And shrimps from the North Sea. No excess sugar or additives added. Glutenfree. Our seaweed and onion krupuk fit perfectly into a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.

Dutch Shrimp Krupuk

Indonesian style Krupuk. Made from locally caught shrimps. North Sea shrimps, the ones with that lovely sweetish flavour. We use the whole shrimp and nothing but the shrimp. Well, shrimp and tapioca starch. To create a puffy and crispy snack which is quite addictive.

You can eat Wilthagen Shrimp Krupuk as snackfood or as a side dish. In Indonesia, people like to crumble their krupuk on stewed beef or a satay dish. For extra texture and flavour.
