The Wilthagen Family Business

It’s quite a good sign when competing butchers start selling your products. The Wilthagen company started out as a village butchers shop. To make some extra money, Adrie and Paulien Wilthagen decided to turn leftover pork rinds into fresh pork crackling. The family sold these cracklings and a selection of sausages themselves: customers like delicatessen shops and the upcoming supermarkets.

That was 1975. The butcher’s shop is now a modern factory. But the family recipes are still in good use. The three generations of Wilthagen acquired almost 50 years of skill and knowledge about great snacks. Bacon snacks, liverwurst. But also veggie snacks like our seaweed and onion krupuk.

We love to work with local produce. But ship worldwide. We combine speed and service with decades of knowledge about good food. Passed on from grandparents to grandsons. Our whole family loves cooking. But we also love to care about our environment, through sustainable production processes. Entrepreneurship with a conscience.
