Our anniversary magazine ‘SAMEN.’ is ready
We are proud to present our magazine ‘SAMEN.’ that we have created especially for our 50th anniversary. It is full of articles about how it all started in 1972 and how we look forward together with our relations. (SAMEN means TOGETHER and we chose this theme to emphasize how much we value working together).
This month we will send it to all our relations and hope that everyone will enjoy reading it.

Open house
Together with our business relations, we will celebrate our anniversary with an open day on May 20, 2022. Of course, with a snack and a drink. You can expect the invitations for this at the beginning of April. We hope to meet you all, to thank you for the cooperation in recent years and to toast to even more cooperation in the future.
Guess & Win contest
The theme of our anniversary year is SAMEN 50 Years Wilthagen. With this we indicate how important we find working together and how grateful we are that we have been able to do this over the past 50 years. And that’s why we want to celebrate that together. Also with end consumers in our country, who like our products so much.
That is why we are launching in March the consumer campaign ‘Guess & Win a BBQ’. We have filled a barrel with Knabbelspek (Pork Cracklings) and everyone can guess the weight of the Knabbelspek. The winner will receive a nice Weber BBQ and the numbers 2 to 50 will receive our ‘Knabbel & Babbel’ box full of Wilthagen products.
Looking back at ISM fair Cologne
From January 31 to February 2, Wilthagen participated in the ISM fair. After a long period, in which it was not possible to organize or visit a trade fair due to restrictive Covid-19 measures, it was nice to meet regular and potential customers in person again.
It was the first time that Wilthagen participated in the ISM fair, and we also had something to tell the 15,000 visitors from over 90 countries. At the fair we launched our new concept Sea&Land Prawn Crackers. The response from visitors was positive.
We have launched two vegetable versions and two fish versions. The vegetable versions are 100% vegan and the fish versions are MSC or ASC certified. These Sea&Land Prawn Crackers offer opportunities and possibilities for different consumption moments.
Preview PLMA
After 2 years without a PLMA we can go again. We will therefore be present in Amsterdam on 31 May and 1 June. We are situated almost at our usual place, but the booth number is the same F-5492 in the Europahal.
This anniversary year, we will be there with our Knabbelspek range (Pork Cracklings) and we are introducing our Sea&Land Cracker range.

Introducing Arie Otte, our new sales manager
Our new sales manager since February 2022 is Arie Otte, 45 years old. Raised in Kruiningen, and moved recently, with his partner, to Bergen op Zoom. In his free time, Arie likes to play squash.
He gained his first work experience at the local supermarket in Kruiningen, where he developed his passion for fresh and varied food.
After that, Arie worked at the Agrimarkt supermarket formula in Zeeland, where he was jointly responsible for purchasing fresh products. Arie says about that period: ‘That’s where my interest and knowledge for local products developed further’.
For the past two years, Arie was sales manager at Delicio in Middelburg and responsible for the sale and development of traditional salads. ‘There I gained and further deepened my knowledge of the production process,’ says Arie.
‘From the first contact with Wilthagen I was impressed by the ambitions of this beautiful family-owned business, and what could be better than starting in the 50th anniversary year?
As a passionate sales manager I like to work together, with the aim of achieving the best result for Wilthagen and for the customer.” My motto is; coming together is a start, staying together is progress, working together a success.
